Writing borders on CloneDVD...keeps hanging

Ive just started backing up some dvds on my brand new pioneer 106/a06 DVDWriter using clone DVD.

The first two discs went without problems, however the last two discs get right up to the point where it says finalising and writing borders and it stays there for ages with no sign of moving, the only way I could get the disc out last time was to shut down.

Any ideas?

there has been issues with CloneDVD when it comes to burning a dvdr. you might want to use something else (nero, or what came with your burner) as an alternative. what media (id) were you using?

not sure, how can i tell the id, i get my discs from novatech.co.uk, I have burnt an image file with dvd decrypter no probs.

to get dvd id download dvdinfopro.

ok, im still having problems, with dvds that ive backed up in clonedvd and dvdshrink now, again as before, The whole disc writes with no problems, however once it gets to 100% and starts finalising it sticks there and nothing happens. I eventually need to manually shut down the pc to get the disc out. And when i get it out it plays fine!

I checked out the dvd id. Heres what I get.....

As i said the first two discs i burnt went fine but now I have this problem!

what version of clonedvd do you have? there have been some news versions to deal with issues on some dvd writers

ive had something simular happen to me on my old computer every once in a while, but when i checked the dvd they worked fine. did your copies play?

my copies play fine!, its just getting them out!
