Yeah it screwed up alot of my other programs I use my tvcard with like for example virtualdub, ulead dvd movie factory 2, dscaler, wintv. I get no sound at all when I use these programs. Yes the audio in is plugged into the pc and yes I have line in under recording checked and yes I'm using audiosel and still no audio. Whne I use powervcr II I get audio. So I un-installed it and used regcleaner to get it totally out. I re-install my tv tuner card and all the drivers and software and still no sound. why did powervcr II do this to my pc? I check line in for recording then I start audioselect then I try to bring up dscaler or wintv and still no sound. Please help me figure this out. thanks

If you are running Win XP there is "System Restore" that will get you back where you were as far as every setting you had. Providing you are not too far gone at this point.

programs - accessories - system tools - system restore, and then select the day before you had your very first sound problem.

I have used this option and had my system back the way it was. Never found out what caused my system to become unstable, but I was so gald to be back and running that I don't care at this point.
