Cant copy ASF files from a CD

G'day i have a cd with 3 files on them one is mpeg but the other 2 are ASF i can copy the mpeg ok but cannot copy the ASF's i want 2 convert them but it wont let me saying access denided but i can play them in windows media... ive tried to save them as mpeg with Window media player but it will not work... can someone please help me... there realy important to me and i want 2 make copies of them.... please...

P.S. it's not illegal or anything it's movies of my grandfather...R.I.P...

They were done by a mate when i didn't have a computer and he screwed up the cd... please help....

i can open them i just cant copy them or save them

if it will open in virtualdub 13c, then it should be able to be saved as AVI.

I always have problems with asf's. I know this is a long winded method but I convert them to wmv in windows movie maker (free download) and then encode to mpg in tmpgenc
