  1. Hi,

    How can I create a vob video file that's only a black screen???

    I want to create a black screen ending (about 1 minute long) that i can join later to a vob video that i have.

    I've been thinking of starting with a black .bmp image, but don't know the next steps, and how to make it compatible with my actual vob video file, in order to join them later.

    And if it's not to difficult, to add some text at the ending... but that's only as alternative.

    Which is the simplest way to do it?

    Thanks in advance

  2. Windows Movie Maker 2 can do this and add the text for credits and such. If you just want a black trailer with nothing at all, you can still use Windows Movie Maker 2. Just create a BMP or JPG picture file that is black only. Then import into WMM2 and have it treat it like a picture for a slide show. Set thedisplay interval for the frame to be however long you need, then export/save it as an AVI. Then you can encode that to MPEG2 and tack it onto anything you like.

  3. Thanks 4 ur answer;

    I'll give it a try.

    One question comes to my mind:

    As I intend to join this black piece of video to another previously made video, I believe I'll have to make parameters to "match" between the one I have and the one i making.

    Matching resolution is easy, but what about all the other parameters that i can't understand (GOP, Mbps, etc.)

    How can I tell the values of the vob that I have and can't change in order to used it to make the black screen???

    Thanks
