Hiya...
I posted a request for help with captures using Canopus ADVC-100 and EZDV card into Prmiere 6.5. They stopped at just over 9 mins despite trying allsorts.
Anyway, I spoke to a very helpful man at Canopus in UK who told me why this is. Even tho the HD is NTFS the EZDV makes the incoming native DV Type 1 which has a limit of 2Gig. For longer caps you should tick Reference AVI box. If I wanna cap as Type 2 then I need to go and buy a standard firewire card. Im glad I never bought the EZDV, it came bundled with the ADVC-100.
Any suggestions what decent standard firewire card I should get?

Just about any firewire card will work. I paid about $25US for one and it works fine. I use DV2, because it's more compatable with Virtualdub and WinXP. Aparently there is no way to use DV2 with the card you have?
