I tried to backup my copy of smallville using dvd shrink 2.3 and Nero 6.0.0.0. The first disc backupped all 4 episodes without a problem. The second disc I tried to backup the next 4 and it seemed to burn fine. I tried the burned copy in all 3 of my dvd players and it would not read the disc. I thought it was a bad disc so I tried it again ; same outcome. I put the copy back into dvd shrink and it played like it was copied correctly. I am also using nec1300a

probably a bad burn or media. try this 2nd disk again with dvdrw and see what happens. if dvdrw does not play re-rip 2nd disk with DVD Decrypter and burn to dvdrw. you might also consider upgrading to 3.0b5 of DVDShrink.

I'm gonna go out on a limb, and guess...
BAD MEDIA.
What're you using for media?

P.S. Bets he says Princo? I'll put down 5 zorkmids. -
Dear friend you were correct in the fact that it was using Princo discs aka Comp USA DVD-r but I have burned 100 plus with only a couple of coasters. I found out that it was my version of Nero 6.0.0.0. that was causing the problems it had a promblem with overburning. I downloaded the 6.0.1.9. and have not had a problem since. I appreciate the input on this matter from Gurm & Noki.
