  1. I know the show just wrapped up and I was wondering if its worth going back and watching this show? I remember watching a couple episodes way back in its first season, but I don't know if I can invest 200+ hours of my life to this show unless its really good. Could I get away with skipping some seasons?

As someone who watched the series from the beginning on and off (though more on, than off), I think you could get away with skipping some. To me the highlight of the show was Michael Rosenbaum's portral of Lex Luthor. I really enjoyed seeing it from Lex's side and his development. Lex was on from Seasons 1 - 7, but even then, I don't think I could recommend that run in its entirety.

There were many episodes I got absolutely nothing out of and didn't like what they were doing continuity wise. However, there were some very outstanding episodes as well, but it would be difficult for me to make suggestions to that end about what you should watch and skip. My suggestion would be to start watching Season 1 from the beginning and if you enjoy it continue on until you start to lose interest, then maybe skip ahead and pick up after a couple of story arcs. Before warned, Season 1 is very formulaic, I didn't really appreciate this rote either.

i can't say that i was a devout follower of the series, but i will say after watching the last few episodes, including the series finale, i wished that i had been there from the beginning, i seriously underestimated that series.

    Yep, i also underestimated it.

I did not start watching it until around the 3rd or 4th season because i figured it would be stupid like the other one, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman......

After a few episodes i was like damn!!! I have to get the first few seasons and start watching it from the start!!!

Then when i heard it was ending i was like SOB!!!!
They could have taken it so much farther, but i guess it has to end sometime.....

Thats the way I felt about Stargate SG1. The 200th episode was kind of the show for the fans. The last show was kind of a whimper but if you realize that Ark of the Truth was the full conclusion for the 9 and 10th season it worked better.

I can't say I've ever watched smallville. I did catch a part of the episode wear Christopher Reeves made a guest appearance. I thought that was a very classy touch by them.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

  6. I watched the very first episode of Smallville all those years ago and decided it wasn't worth watching. There were other shows in that time slot that I was more interested in at the time, and I'm sure that was a major influence to that decision. About the 3rd or 4th season, there was nothing else of interest in that time slot so I started watching it more regularly. It grew on me, but there were a lot of episodes that were, shall we say, of lessor quality. I think it would be a waste of time to go back and watch the entire series, but it might be worth going through an online episode guide, reading the synopses and commentaries and pick some that look interesting.
