  1. When converting a 25 fps .avi to NTSC, the audio plays way too fast in the authored DVD with respect to the video that seems to be playing at the right speed.
How can I eliminate this problem? I tried VirtualDub, IfoEdit, TMPGEnc with the same results. What is the correct setting for all the relevant parameters to get a proper conversion from a 25 fps .avi to NTSC?

  2. When converting Pal to NTSC, convert the video to 23.97fps and encode to mpeg with 3:2 pulldown (assuming mpeg-2, not needed for mpge-1) Use BeSweet to convert the audio to mp2 or Ac3 using the builtin PAL to NTSC presets to change the length to match the video.
