  1. I am trying to rip a DVD to make a SVCD using TMPEG Plus and of course DVD2SVCD Build 3. I have all of my settings correct using Doom's 9 Guide for a DVD ==> SVCD conversion (I've noticed some settings have changed in Build 3). As soon as DVD2SVCD lets me choose my frame selection for my start and stopping points, it begins to encode the movie portion with TMPEG Plus. Only when I get to this point, everything else before this point runs smoothly, TMPEG comes up I receive a error. The error states File "C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\Movie\TitlePicture.bmp.avs can not open or is unsupported." I've noticed that under the environment setting of TMPEG everything has a checkmark by it, BESIDES Avisynth/VirtualDub script reader v0.1 (ReadAVS.dll). This (ReadAVS.dll) is located at the top WITHOUT a checkmark and it is set at 3. I've tried to move the DirectShow Multimedia file to 1 AND 2, but TMPEG sets it back to the way it likes. Also under the encoder tab under DVD2SVCD, under advanced drop-down box, I see a option that says use ReadAVS.dll in TMPEG. This doesn't work either. What am I not doing or missing? If anyone can help me get pass this part, to successfully create my SVCD, i would appreciate it.

  2. rip her out and re-install the engine. then reboot . then defrAG and reboot again.
Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.
The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons.

  3. please post your log. What you "could" do is uncheck the option (cant remember the tab name" to not use the default pictures. Possibly, forwhatever reason, the default picture is not working. What I would do is play the move until the title screen comes up and then snap a picture of it in powerdvd and use that bmp as the title page.

Another question is your version of TMPGENC in trial currently for SVCD (basically if you dont pay/register it, you only have vcd support after 30 days).

  5. i'm sorry, macleod. My version is TMPEG Plus 2.58.44.152 (registered).

Also RabidDog do you mean by uninstalling (THE ENGINE). Are you talking about TMPEG or DVD2SVCD? With the defrag part, do you mean defraging the harddrive?

  6. I had the same problem using TMPGEnc as the encoder in DVD2SVCD.

I found if I unchecked the options to have title pics, change CD pics etc.. under CD Image it worked fine.

As I'm not bothered about having those pics in, I just left it at that.

If anyone can tell us how to solve the problem and leave the pics in, I'd be interested though.

    cheers,
    mcdruid.

  7. Thanks man, i really appreciate it. I will DEFINITELY give that a try. One question, just assume when i do uncheck the picture options, how will the movie start? Will it start automatically?

  8. On my DVD player it just starts the movie as soon as it's finished 'loading/scanning' the disc, if I don't check any of the pic boxes under CD Image.

Even if I'm not using TMPGEnc, I only leave the 'Change CD pic' checked - the discs just start playing when the DVD player is ready.

I'd still be interested to find out why this problem occurs.

    cheers,
    mcdruid.

  10. @qwerty99

    a) That's not really relevant to this thread.

    b) There are dozens of guides on this site about how to make SVCD's with different tools and by different methods. Try doing some reading.

    c) IMHO, DVD2SVCD is the best way of creating SVCD's from DVD source - the site will be back up soon, I hope!

    cheers,
    mcdruid.
