  1. I seem to be having a problem with DVD Shrink 3.0.

    It won't recognise my backup dvd's and when I try to open a file that is on the hard drive it can't analyse it and so then can't open it. It comes up with an error about the vobs.

    What can I do about this please?

    I've run into the same problem, but my solution is to:
    Use ImgTools to create a DVD image file;
    Mount the image using Daemon Tools;
    then use DVDShrink on the mounted image file - works every time for me.
    You can't fool me, I'm a moron!

  3. It would be nice to use DVD Shrink as I want to put two dvd's onto one and DVD Shrink is such an easy programme to use.

    Rebooting usualy fixes my Shrink issues. I always close the shrink window and re-open it for the next DVD. It does NOT reset any variables when you open another disk in the same window.

    I've had the same problem a few times. Using DVDShrink 2.3 solved the problem. If you want to use 3.0 to do something 2.3 can't do, open the DVD with 2.3 and create a backup with no compression. Then 3.0 will open the backup files.

  6. Thanks Bobk, that was a good idea, and works just fine.
