I was running Scenalyzer under WinXP Home Edition. The software worked beautifully, letting me capture DV video through my Sony DMC-DA1 box.
I 'upgraded' to WinXP Pro and now there is a problem. The captured video still comes out fine. The problem is when I capture the video, the video and audio preview stutter horribly!
I've tried the various options in regards to the preview window (high-res preview on/off, DirectX acceleration on/off, etc) and it still stutters. I've updated my machine with the latest drivers for my Audigy and Geforce2 GTS card (assuming video/audio probs).
Anyone with an idea? Is it possible that there is an option I need to check in WinXP Pro that would take care of ths problem. I like to watch the show/video that I am capturing and not having that ability is a major annoyance.
TIA...

'Upgrading' Microsoft operating systems generally doesn't work. It's supposed to, but it generally has bugs you won't ever get rid of. XP Home to XP Pro has many known issues (It forgets which one it's supposed to be).
Try a 'Clean' install of XP Pro. As an alternative, you need to rip direct-X out of your machine (need a 3rd party application) and re-install it. Most Previewing is done with DirectX overlays. To Be, Or, Not To Be, That, Is The Gazorgan Plan
