Can someone help me with dvd-vcd Please?

Hello everyone, I'm not sure if this is supposed to be in this area or not, the rules said dvd ripping and dvd conversion. The format is actually vcd but will be burned on a dvd. Anyhow my question is this. I have all my files in vcd mpeg1 and the audio is at 48khz. Now do I have to use that dvd authoring cause its buggy for me. Or can I go directly to nero6. If I can go directly to nero6, do I choose the cd/vcd area or the dvd/video area. What do I choose to burn these files on a dvd disc. Thanks.

Demux(.m1v & .mp2) the MPEG and use IFOEDIT ->DVD Author.Then in Nero use DVD-Video.

Well I went ahead and did it like lordsmurf suggested first. http://www.lordsmurf.com/convert/vcdtodvd/vcdtodvd.htm I just added my files in there and it did it's thing in a folder now what is left a VOLUME 1 folder, and once you click it you see a AUDIO_TS which has nothing in it, and a VIDEO_TS which has files in it. When I open nero dvd video do I copy over the volume1, or click on it and copy both audio_ts and video_ts or just video_ts folder. Or do I just open the video_ts folder which has the files and copy the files over to the nero's folder that says video_ts. I tried that but it said one of the files named default.pls didn't go in that folder. I'm kinda lost. Heres a screen shot of the files in the video_ts folder on my hd. Well I couldnt get a screen shot to work. the files are as follows:

Copy only the files in the vol1 folder into Video_TS folder.

well then that would be the folder audio_ts and video_ts, that is the folders after u open volume1. And the only folder that has files is video_ts. So you are saying copy audio_ts and video_ts folders from harddrive into the neros complication folder saying video_ts under dvd-video?

If you do a dvd-video in nero, it comes up with audio_ts and video_ts folders.
Copy all the files from Video_ts folder in the authoring program output into video_ts folder in nero. Leave the audio_ts folder in nero empty. Audio_ts is for dvd-audio which is not currently used.

Yah I figured it out, thanks u guys. It burned perfectly and read perfectly in my stand alone dvd player. Peace
