    Hi everyone.
Pls recommend the best and compatible software to burn DVD. The problem is I used Nero 6 and InterVideo DVD copy but for an unknow reason with some DVD player it keep digitalized (frozen) when the player is hot, usually after 1:30 hrs (JVC) and work fine on other players. I use Ritek 1X as DVD media.
May be Nero 6 is too new or is it better with nero 5?
Pls suggest the most compatible buning software and blank disk to use.
    Thanks for your help.

The catch term here is compatible.

I have tried at least 6 different authoring systems (Pinnacle, DVDit LE, etc, etc, etc) and it seems that every one has a hitch. For a low priced system, Roxio DVD Creator worked more consistently than most on my Win XP system. Adobe Encore seems to be working consistently but even it has a few glitches.

I don't believe that there is any perfect authoring software out there. Everyone seems to have different experiences with authoring systems. Best is to pick one that fits your budget and try it.

Thats looks more like a DVD player and media compatibility issue than a burning/authoring issue. Try different (good quality) brand media (take a look in the media forum for advice) or maybe even consider a new DVD player that doesn't get so hot!

Actually I have an old Pioneer DVD player that does something similar to what you're describing with store-bought DVDs after it gets hot. I think DVD players may have a shelf life, especially old ones. I'm thinking it's the laser head that's getting fouled, perhaps there is a way to clean/fix it. Otherwise Ritek media is pretty compatible when burned just right. Samsung and Accu are also good brands.

Use your authoring app to make an ISO and then burn that with DVD Decrypter, that usually works the best for me.
