    Hey people, what is the easiest way to convert AVI to VCD/SVCD? Is there a program with an easy to use/rookie interface? Please explain it to me like I'm an idiot since I'm just getting started burning videos.

    Even if your'e a newbie, there's no reason to start with some one click solution. You will be no better off (besides that you might succeed in converting an AVI or 2 to (S)VCD), and will learn nothing.
    Take a look left under Convert. There are numerous paths to follow in the noble art of AVI to mpg.
    If your intentions are to convert movies downloaded over some P2P network, think again. These files are of really low quality with lots and lots of errors that has to be fixed before you can start encoding. At leasst to me, the effort I have to put in to fix many of such files, simply isn't worth the end result (If I ever get there).
