I have searched the archive of this group, found others getting this error message and still do not know how to resolve this. Advise?
I am encoding with quickset to VCD.
I am using a VIDEO_TS folder from a couple of folders deep on the hard drive.
I have also tried as a test, to encode just the first file in that folder.
I consistently get this error message:
INFO: [yuvscaler] yuvscaler (version 1.7.0) is a general scaling utility for yuv frames
INFO: [yuvscaler] (C) 2001-2002 Xavier Biquard <xbiquard@free.fr>

usage: movtoy4m -w width -h height -F a:b -a a:b [-s] [-f] [-o ppm/y4m] movie.mov
example: movtoy4m -w 352 -h 288 -F 25:1 -a 4:3 pal_normal.mov
example: movtoy4m -w 352 -h 240 -F 30000:1001 -a 16:9 ntsc_wide.mov
**ERROR: [yuvscaler] Could'nt read YUV4MPEG header!

Additional info:
When I set the quick preset to VCD is sets Video Codec to MPEG1 (.MPG) (mpeg2enc)
If I set the Codec to (ffmpeg) I do not get the failure.
The set-up was done using the install instructions and downloads as directed.
1. How to correct this?
2. What would be the difference between writing a VCD for standalone player between these two Codec? why use ffmpeg vs mpeg2enc. Since the default quickset choose mpeg2enc I thought that might be better.
