    I tried the recent update which ran but said something like "cannot flash update" "contact your vendor".

    On reboot I notice the firmware is F07, which is what I tried to update. Could it have really update the drive or not? How can one check please?

    Also what "other media" does this now support please?

    it helps in identfying the dvd's that are coming out by all different brands and also calibrating the laser correcly to read these

    when you flash the firmware from windows make sure all virus programs are off as they can screw things big time
