hi, i use my standalone philips dvdr70 to record stuff, which records my discs region 0, if i then rip my dvds using dvd decryptor and burn the ripped files in my nec 1100a dvd burner, are the end result dvds region2 or region 0?
i used dvdinfo to find out my dvd burner is region 2, but dvdinfo wont tell me what region my burnt discs are. if my discs will be region 2 using my burner, can i make my burner region 0 without too much risk in breaking it and rendering the drive unuseable if flashing the firmware goes wrong?

you don't need to rip anything. do a direct copy from your rom to burner...save at least half the time. the disc from your standalone is not encrypted. if you have no rom, drag and drop the contents to your hdd and then burn. good luck. BTW you know that region0 is NO region (therefore playable everywhere), right
