Kiss DP-500 vs. Maestro DVX-1201

Hey guys I'm trying to pick out a new dvd player which has all the functions anyone will ever need. I've been reading up on several players and have narrowed it down to these two.

The DVX-1201 has great reviews on here, have not really seem any negative things. The DP-500 on the other hand has received some bad reviews about playback on store bought dvds, is this a serious problem or has it been fix through firmware upgrades?

I'm stuck between these two, I'm leaning towards the DVX-1201 but the ethernet capability of the DP-500 is something I would like to have.

Anyone have experience with these players? or with one that could match with them.

Don't know about those DVD players however if you're looking for a player that will play Divx take a look at this one which also has a built in video scaler and is DVI enabled for 720p and 1080i playback (assuming you have a HDTV).
