    i have recently installed a new belkin firewire 3 port pci card and tried to connect it to my pc via a 6 to 4 pin firewire cable. i have the camcorder playing the recording and tried using windows movie maker to capture and pinnacle 12 but niether were able to see my camera...............what am i doing wrong?

    try winDV. if it can't find the cam, then something's bad. cable, card or port on cam.
