Just hooked up the sat dish yesterday and all worked fine. The first time I accessed the TV function off the control panel my system crashed. I restarted and tried again and the tuner worked like a charm. I recorded a few shows went to bed happy thinking I had this dialed in. Today its a no go. Everytime I try to open the TV from the control panel my system crashes/reboots. I've looked thru the archives here and there are a few discussions about ATI instablity but most were about older versions of thier software. I'm running Catalyst 3.1 & 8.1MMC. I've downloaded the latest version from the ATI website: Catalyst 3.8 & MMC 8.7 but was unable to update completly so I went back to the previous version. I used the cat-uninstaller utility to rid my system of all the old files but still no luck. I realize I have a conflict somewhere but where?? Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem before. I tried everything to fix it. I ended up having to reformat.

Thanks Innershield. I've done that once and as this system is less than a month old the task was not too painful but I'd like to avoid it again if possible. I checked out your system and it appears we have similar setups. Do you have both of your Maxtors set up in Raid0? I spent hours working with the company techs getting this thing tweaked and feel the mobo and raid setup may be the cause. If so I may just can the raid and go with primary and slave for my 2 HD's.
