  1. I have an HP Pavilion Entertainment PC and am using Ulead VideoStudio 11.5 plus. I have been using this software for a few years and have made many video files and DVDs - some long (like an hour) some short. I have never had an issue with rendoring before now. I am working on my "2009 family video" - it is about 1 hour 20 minutes. When I set everything up to begin the render and burn, the system shows that I have enough memory to perform this task. However, the system keeps shutting down (at different percent completes each time) without any warning and without any error messages.

I've tried cleaning up my hard drive - which I don't think is the problem since the software shows me that I have enough memory - any suggestions? I'm not sure what to do at this point!

    Thanks!!

  2. Check your CPU temps while rendering. Your CPU fan has probably filled with dust and is no longer cooling the CPU effectively.

Memory and disk space are different issues. Figure 20GB or more hard disk space for all the temp files. This depends on whether temp files are retained to the end or deleted each step.

You can clean it. Vacuum out all the dirt.
