  1. is there any way other than vstrip or ac3dec to decode audio from .vob files? i tried both programs and got error messages. i need a third option.

  3. i like dvd2avi. just save as "project". you'll get a .wav file & a .d2v file.. its great

  4. Make sure you choose the track you want under the audio tab. Don't want to get french or the directors com (I assume).

  6. Uncheck the 48kh -> 44kh in DVD2AVI and it runs 20-30 mins for WAV extraction Vs. 1.5 - 2 hours! (AMD Ath Tbird 800)

    DVD2AVI is still the best, and hard to beat! Not to mention, TMPGEnc reads the file "nativly" (with plug in).

  7. If you just want the audio decoded to a wav file, you can also use FlaskMPEG. The benefit here is that you get to choose the audio stream (in terms of language rather than stream header) and you get to preview the audio before saving it.

    Make sure you use V0.6 for this.
