Why does Pinnacle Studio 8 took so long to render to build your
DVD image while other DVD Authoring apps like Ulead DVD Movie
Factory, Dazzle DVD Complete take only a fraction of the time to build
the DVD image?
I know other users have complained that Pinnacle Studio 8 is very slow
in rendering (takes me about 7-8 hours to render a 2 hour video)
whereas other apps only take about a 1/2 hour.
It seems riduculous that it would take so long to build an image
with Pinnacle 8
Thanks fo the help.

I used to have the same problem . Try buying a realtime mpg2 capturing card.
It saves a LOT of time -
I have the Pinnacle Moviebox USB which is a realtime mpg2
capturing device.
It's when I have have edited my captured image with chapters
and a menu, then go to make a disc image that takes a lot of
time. It seems to take forever to render the file. In the order
of 7-8 hours for a 2 hour mpg2 file.
I wonder if Pinnacle Studio 8 is transcoding the file before
making the image. Seems silly if this were the case since I used
Pinnacle Studio 8 to capture the video.
