I tried playing DVD-R on my old Toshiba SD1009 and came to find that it won't play any burned with Nero in UDF/ISO format but it will play them if burned with Nero 6's DVD Video template and any burned with CloneDVD's burning module. I asked this question before but got no answer. I just bought a cheap Polaroid DVD player at Best Buy and basicilly the same problem. DVD-R's burned in UDF/ISO won't play,it defaults to a menu and really doesn't work,it will play DVD-R burned wtih Nero 6 DVDVideo template. I returned the Polaroid because it just it was such a piece of junk, don't waste your time buying one.
But the question remains why won't UDF/ISO burns play on some DVD players. If you look at the file structure they appear the same as ones burned with the DVD Video template?

The easy answer is.....stop using the UDF/ISO mode, if the DVD-Video mode works for u. I use DVD-Video mode in Nero v6 exclusively to burn my DVD's. I've never even tried using UDF/ISO. That's the whole reason they put the DVD-Video mode in there, so it'd be easy. However, if it's just buggin the crap outta ya....here's what I'm thinking:

    1) Are you putting the bup, ifo, and vob files into a folder named exactly VIDEO_TS (all caps) and burning the entire folder onto the DVD in UDF/ISO mode?

    2) Are you positive that you aren't doing a multisession burn when using the UDF/ISO mode? If your burn was a multisession, you get the *freeze* thang like you report.
