  1. I'm not shure if Nero or AOpen (or me) is to blame. My AOpen DVRW2412PRO writes DVD+RW without any problems but refuses to write DVD+R (tried different brands as TDK and Phillips). I use Nero 5.5.9.8 to burn the DVD's from a directory with the well known VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS directories. The error messages Nero presents me are:
    Command sequence error
    Could not perform EndSession
    Burn process failed at 2,4x (3.312 kB/sec)
    SCSI not using temporary buffers
20 out of 20 temporary buffers allocated
And another disk will disappear in the garbage can.

I have found a workaround in writing the film to a DVD+RW and copying this one to a DVD+R using the copy function in Nero. This works fine but isn't the way it should be (I guess).

  2. Since you just updated the firmware I would say update to Nero 5.5.10.54 and check your ASPI drivers.

How old is the burner? 1st Generation +RW drives only wrote to +RW discs and not +R (like the HP DVD100i). 2nd gen and above should to both though. It could aslo be the media.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.

  5. Yeah, it's a very new one (6 months). But what is new in terms of computers? 7 days or less? Anyway it is an 2nd generation writer so it should work. Just downloaded Nero 5.5.10.42. Now I am collecting money for a new DVD+R . I will keep you informed.
