How do you Index ASF files

I've got a stream file as asf i can't seek i was told in order to fast forward i would need to index the asf file. I've tried alot of programs but it doesn't seem to work

Can anybody help ?

You're probably best off converting it to another format using VirtualDub 1.3c (or earlier). That way you can do whatever you want with it. The reason you need 1.3c is because Microsoft complained about their format being used by VirtualDub. But it's not illegal to convert from their format or save to it, they just used a scare tactic with their patent, and of course almost no freeware author can afford to go to court, even if he'd win.
