  1. Ok, I'm new here so please be patient

    I created a DVD;

    1. Using a Canon ZR camcorder I recorded a series of events
    2. Using a VCR and a WIN TV GO! card and VirtualDUB I captured the cut.
    3. It created an AVI file
    4. Using Tempeg nc (not sure of name but paid for "upgrade")
    5. using above software, converted AVI to "DVD complient MPEG-2".
    6. Using DVDit! burned original
    7. Very satisfied with quality, many have said that they haven't seen
as good as what I have produced here!
    8. Needed to make a "copy"
    9. Used Nero 5.5, DVD copy, Pioneer 103S DVD player,(burner is a
Mitsumi(Sony?) DVD-RAM/R device, works great, except when using
Nero!, used DVD-R media, same as original DVD)
    10. After using Nero 5.5, said "could not complete copy", yet it did.
After eject, disk played in both PC Pioneer 103S and set top units.

However, when viewed, sound OK, video crisp and clear but screen
split down the middle (example: "house" on screen, left half of house
appears on right side of screen and right half appears on left side
    of screen!).

    WHAT GIVES? any ideas?

Using same software, trying to creat an SVCD, same thing happens!

    I'm at a total loss!
