try not to put in 2 scorsese films in your top five......now that's the challenge......if it were up to me....I would have put all his filoms, and the films of david lynch.....I had to spread myself out.........even a top 10 list ids hard.....

    1. Ronin
    2. Schindler's List
    3. Ikiru
    4. Monte Python's...Grail
    5. Ran

I love the style of Ronin: the faded colors, fantastic car chases, cool gun fights, overall great acting, and bystanders getting gunned down (hey it would happen if it were real, right?). As for #2 I don't think I could ever watch this film without bawling at the end; I'm eagerly anicipating its DVD release early next year. I love Kurosawa films but Ikiru is my favorite; this one has a tearful ending to it as well, but an uplifting story. Holy Grail is my favorite Monte Python movie (though Meaning of Life is in my top 10) as it can still make me spit soda out my nose when watching it. Another Kurosawa flick in my top 5, his remake of King Lear; again this has a tear-jerker of an ending but the whole story is of treachery and deceipt. I must like sad stories

That's one good thing about newer Brad Pitt movies. Your girl wants to see it for him, and you wanna see it because it'll probably be a sweet movie.

I have to agree with tgpo about Brad Pitt - guess he's too much of a "pretty boy" but he's even in three of the top 5 I mentioned above. I have to say that I've liked almost all of the flicks he's been in. Although I really didn't like "The Mexican" - but I really dislike Julia Roberts...

@Devanshu - Clerks is hilarious, definitely worth the rental...

  25. Lordsmurf said the Back to the Future Trilology.

1 and 2 were great but 3 was so horrible. They should have just made the trilology but kept 3 out of it. I actually own the trilology but haven't opened the 3 one yet........hehehe.

As for my top 5 in no order:

    Haggard
Lord of the Rings either one
    Seven
    Fear of a Black Hat
Any DVD my buddies and I make

I do too. But she was great in "I Love Trouble" - a movie about investigative reporters (probably one of the only reasons I liked it, journalist that I am). She should not have been in Ocean's Eleven.
