    Could anyone recommend good freeware for video capturing to MPEG. This is from a Pinnacle pctv pci card.

    I have Pinnacle Studio v8 SE but for some reason it runs slow when capturing plus I have problems when wanting to get more than 2 hrs of DVD. So that has been written off. Even good old Windows Movie Maker runs at normal speed.

    I have had good luck with Movie Mill available at the site below. It is free. I use the USB version and have not tried the PCI one.
