  1. Hi all,
    I normally don't post because I usually have no problem's to ask about, but, now I have an avi which has the following info from virtualdub and I want to encode it for vcd use in my standalone dvd player which is a samsung s221 and the region sticker on the back of the player has a number 1 on it,(I don't know if the 1 stand's for 23.976 or 29.97 or both).
    Anyway, here is the info from virtualdub about the avi that I want to encode to play on my standalone player which I will be using 700mb-80 minute cd-r's (memorex 42x 700mb-80 min).

    When I open the avi in virtualdub then I get the vbr audio stream detected message so I click OK, then I click on "FILE", "VIEW FILE INFO" and this is what I get:

    Video Stream
    Frame size, fps = 608x320, 25.000 fps, (4000)
    Length = 150175 frames (1:40:07:00)
    Decompressor = XviD MPEG-4 Codec
    Number of key frames = 2009
    Min/Avg/Max/Total key frame size = 2121/15862/47116 (31122K)
    Min/Avg/Max/Total delta frame size = 106/3992/32684 (577693K)
    Data Rate = 830 kbps (0.57% overhead)

    Audio Stream
    Sampling Rate = 44100Hz
    Channels = 2 (Stereo)
    Sample Precision = N/A
    Compression = Fraunhofer IIS MPEG Layer-3 Codec
    Layout = 229823 Chunks (0.01s preload)
    Length = 96734749 Samples (1:40:03:89)
    Min/Avg/Max/Total Frame Size = 104/420/626 (94468K)
    Data Rate = 129 kbps (5.39% overhead)

    Now, my question is:
    With the above info, could someone please give me some help on converting this to ntsc either 23.976 or 29.97 fps (whichever gives the best result) for vcd use in my standalone player using the latest version of tmpgenc and besweet and virtualdub?

    I consider my specialty to be PAL to NTSC conversions but this looks like an illegal download to me.

    Prove otherwise and I might offer some help.
