    I just installed a LG GDR-8162B DVD drive but it won't read a DVD-Ram disc I made with my panasonic E50 DVD recorder. According to Nero Info tool this drive supports reading DVD-Ram. I can read DVD-R, DVD-RW and CDs but when I try to read a DVD-Ram disc I get an error message stating "E:\is not accessible Incorrect function." Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I don't think that drive supports DVD-RAM discs. Nero Info could be wrong, or you could be looking at the wrong checkbox...

    Or maybe you need a firmware update, and I could be wrong

    The box and manual both say it reads DVD-Ram. Funny thing if I use WinDvd it will play the disc. PowerDVD will not read it nor can I read it through windows explorer.

    I just checked the firmware as well. Its 0015 which apparently is the latest release.
