Can't burn bin but can bbMPEG?

I am using Nero v6.
I created all the conversion files from DVD2SVCD.
I have a curious problem.
I can burn my SVCD bbMPEG mpg file onto an SVCD and it plays fine in my Mintek DVD player.
But when I try to load the bin file first of all Nero doesnt initially see them and secondly when I try to add the it tells me they are not svcd complient.
One thing I did do is change my cd spread to 4 disks.
With 2500 bitrate max.,1600 min. and 2200 max avg.
My first question is how do I look at the details of my created mpeg files both mpg and bin to see what exactly DVD2SVCD created and secondly why would Nero burn in SVCD a mpg file from bbMPEG and not a bin file.

use svcd mode to burn mpeg file
use "other" mode to burn disc image
