  1. My question is if anybody knows if cdrdvdrmedia.com (aka meritline) has the textured dvd cases as they used to or did they completely switch to the regulat platic covered ones? The reason I ask is because the glossy labels tends to "bleed" on the regular smooth plastic dvd cases but not the textured plastic ones, and since I received one shipment of the regular dvd cases I was just wondering before I purchase another 100 pack of them. It cdrdvdrmedia did switch to the smooth plastic dvd cases, does anybody know how, other than using MATTE Krylon, to keep the cover from bleeding or another site that sells the textured plastic DVD cases?

I've never seen their labels "bleed" but I have seen where the Glossy labels stick to cases. This varies by printer brand/model and I've never been able to get the Glossys to work right without leaving them out for a week or more to dry totally up.

If your really bleeding onto the case try going into your printers advanced options and turn down the ammout of ink its printing out. Other then that the only person whos going to be able to answer your question is Meritline.

I've had problems with the glossy paper sticking to the plastic too, but it only seems to happen with sections which are all black. I just don't use glossy paper for covers like this. I have read though that a good trick is to sprinkle a very fine mist of powder onto the cover and then brush it off. Apparantly this is what proffesional printers do when printing out commercial covers so that they don't stick to each other as the printer spits them out. I

  4. Your right it seems to only happen on the black, and it doesn't bleed so much as stick to the cover and the black get slightly messed up (can't really explain it better than a bleeding effect though). However, can anybody recommend a decent (around $15.00 for 50 sheets) MATTE DVD cover paper (other than Meritlines MATTE covers as they do not seem to have good color saturation)

Just a question. Your not using ink refills are you? Cause I've never had a problem with their Matte stuff at all other then that fact that it doesn't lookas good as glossy. If you are using standard ink you should REALLY see if there is a way to turn your ink volume down when printing them cause they absorbe ink fine here.
