    I want to know how I can extract the AC3 audio from an AVI file. Is there a guide on how to do this or can someone tell me how? The only idea i had so far was using graphedit, is there any easier ways?

    I've never done it before but you can use virtualdub for that...

    I have just converted a divx with ac3 sound to dvd by extracting the ac3 sound using graphedit then encoded the video only using mainconcept then multiplexed the 5.1 ac3 sound with the video using tpmpeg. Then authored perfectly fine.
