  1. I use VCD cutter or IRFANview to make snapshots from VCDs( Dat files)
But I dont seem to get it working with WMV or asf format files.
Can someone please suggest how to make a snapshot(jpg) of a WMV/asf file?

  2. Google "Printkey 2000 v5.10" it is a general screen capture program that will let you crop and save to jpeg. They have a freeware version of it.

Just one easy way to do it.

  3. Thanks Suntan for the reply.
But won't it capture the entire desktop instead of the clip itself ?

If that one doesn't work the way you need, there are loads of free screen capture apps available.

Sometimes the only trick with video is you need to disable hardware acceleration temporarily while you do it.

There was a thread recently with lots of progs mentioned and ways to do it. Try a search upper right corner for "screen capture".

    Good luck.
