First, I am trying to capture satellite broadcast with Dolby Digital 5.1. I have seen that it is possible to capture the AC3 bit rate audio and now I need a video capture to go with it. I was looking at the Canopus ADVC-100 to capture but Canopus said it can not be used with a sound card.
Can the ATI AIW cards capture video with the audio from a sound card? If so, I don't care about the 3D performance of the card, only the capturing performance. I have done some reading here and it is still not quite clear (the ATI site has no information I could find on the specifications of the capturing), what are the differeces when it comes to captuing in the ATI AIW cards?
Thanks for any assistance,
