Memorex DVD-R 4x is great. Its 2x or 1x -R and -RW are all garbages, never touch them or you will regret.

My E80 Panasonic loves the 2X Memorex (Prodisc). No problems at all burning or finalizing them. Not as good a deal on them as the Maxell's that were on last week at Futureshop..buy 2 5-packs and get a 3rd 5-pack free. That lowered the price to about $2.60/disc. Getting closer to that magical (for me) $2.00CAD/disc price which is what HG VHS tapes were costing me. I won't have to worry about setting aside another room in the house for storage of DVDs as I had to for VHS...

I agree. I picked up the buy one get one at Office Depot a while back and burned at 4X and didn't make one coaster. However, none of mine were over 4GB. I've heard people say that Memorex has probs burning greater than 4GB. So . . . I picked up another 2 packs this week for the deal.

  6. Memorex DVD+R are great, I gone through several spindles now with perfect results.

I just tried Memorex DVD-R (I have a dual format burner) and the first one out of the spindle was a coaster, unplayable in two DVD roms and in my standalone.

The DVD+Rs are made by Ricoh.
The DVD-Rs are made by CMC.
