  1. averTV USB is giving me major problems (well, I THINK its the aver..)anyway, I been backing up my VHS tapes onto VCD. Everything was fine and I could get decent captures, until recently when I discovered that some tapes (I'm backing up TV serials) get captured in black and white. It shows color for about 20secs than turns black and white. Some tapes work, some dont. The aver has an RCA port, S-video and COAX and I've tried them all. All have the same results.
I do not think its an NTSC/PAL problem (I'm PAL) cause I've switched between all modes. Could it be a Macrovision problem?? if so any idea how to fix it?? buying a TBC is not feasable for me right now and I want to finish these pretty soon. Would an old VCR help? but I fear its the Aver that recognises MAcrovision...
Ive also tried to capture with my Geforce 4 MX 440 (pretty sure it has VIVO..through th S-Video port right?the manual is pretty sparse..) but the WDM drivers either lock up my system (blue screen)or just dont work at all (code 10 error....1.08 drivers).
Its just the color, no stability probs.
    anyhelp would be appreciated
