  1. Ok, got my divx file, used VirtualDub to make a wav file of the audio, used TMPGEnc to make the mpeg file for burning.... but at some points the audio slips badly out of sync. I've checked the original divx file and that seems ok, its just the new mpeg. I tried the Error Protection function in the Audio tab of Other Settings in the wizard but this didn't help. Any ideas?

  2. Are there any corrupt frames around the point where the sound goes out of synch?

  3. see my post in "colours tutn blue / purple" as this will show a way. You would appear to have a VBR mp3 as audio in the avi file. Hope this helps! :P

  5. Anyone come up with a solution to this one? I tried to search for the suggested thread but couldn't find anything that identified the issue I am experiencing (which is same as this thread).

Any help much appreciated (and I thought I did quite well with the convert!!)

No one will probably fo anything until he checks the video frames for errors. No point going on until he does.

  7. Hi - I posted this AGES ago - i'm surprised people are still reading it! Ok - this is a major problem that I had when trying to get my divx files encoded to VCD so I could play em on my DVD player. Yep the problem is with currupt frames - either as a result of the download process (eg when you download from multiple users and the software patches up the files) or from the original encoding. Don't worry though, there is a solution.. and it can be found here - https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/153907.php

Personally I found that the whole process was getting rather more time consuming than I could justify, but heh I'm impatient, good luck to you all.

  8. Sadly enough, that doesn't help me. A scan comes back with no bad frames.

I have just had a scan of the created bin file and it plays fine through VLC. Could the recording software be at fault? I'm using CDRDAO via VCDEasy. Does anyone know of issues with CDRDAO?

    Thanks!
