  1. I have an AVer card and I told it to capture video onto a harddrive that is not FAT32, but the files are still limited to 4 gb in size before they start a new file. Does this have anything to do with the software capture program being on a FAT32 HD? Should I move it, or is there just some setting I didn't enable somewhere?

  2. I have the same problem and I'm about to just go and get another card. Saving to an NTFS drive and it starts a new file at 4gig which will not read in tmpgenc dvd author. A
Also, I have not been able to get the card to work with other capture software.

BTW don't bother asking for support at their website, it's non-existant

which card do you have? I have the EZ DVDMaker card, on an NTFS system, I capture 10, 20, 50Gb captures no problem...

and I've had no problems using Virtual VCR or iuVCR to capture, either... or WinDVD Recorder or PowerVCR II, for that matter (although I didn't care for the quality or the loose audio sync...)

    sure it's not something else?

  5. When I was doing captures before I bought my DVD recorder I made file all the time on my NTFS. Most software I used had an option for the file size (the default file size is usually under 4GB).

I'm so jealous of this too. :P

These are picky cards. Works fine if it works. A real #$%^&* if it doesn't. I've only gotten mine to successfully work on one system, and even then, results differ from time to time. Always audio sync on all systems.

Sound cards are fine because the ATI AIW cards on those systems perform flawlessly.

housepig's iuVCR and his encoding guides are found at lordsmurf.com under the CAPTURE for NON-ATI AVI capturing.

Never a problem with file size on NTFS. Made it whatever size was needed, up to 25GB sometimes.
