Are there any consumer grade DVD Burning software packages that allows for the use of animated GIF's/JPEG's in the menus?

  2. I don't know of one. DVD motion menus are actually mpeg videos with overlays for buttons etc. If you want motion menus you must generate them as DVD complaint mpeg videos and use something liek DVD-lab to author.

    Bugster-

Thanks for the info.. but from whtat I have read on their web site the program will not work with "ReplayTV" Mpeg files.....

Currently "PowerProducer 2.0" and "MovieFactory-2" both will load and burn DVD's from these MPEG files.

And it just seems to be way too much trouble for me to get a MPEG that DVD_Lab can work with just to have a few seconds of motion in the menus..

  4. Well, you either want motion menus and are willing to make the effort or you don't.

The only apps I know of that will auto generate motion menus are Ulead DVD Workshop and Dazzle DVD Complete, but these produce motion thumnails in Chapter selection menus only. Anything more complicated than that and you are on your own.
