  1. I have a 232mb mpeg1 file that I want to use as part of a VCD. VCDEasy will not completely add this file as it reports a bad packet at xxxx position during the add file phase. It gives me the option to add the file anyway which I choose to do but it only adds the portion of the file before this bad packet which chops about half of the file off. This mpeg1 plays fine on the computer with just a tiny glitch at the point of the problem and I'm relatively certain it will play fine on my DVD player if only I can get the whole file included in a VCD. Can VCDEasy be made to not analyze the file and just add what I tell it to without cutting off what it thinks is the bad part? If not, is there any other program that will allow this to be done? I've tried to cut out a small area around the problem with TMPGEnc but I end up with A/V sync problems when done. Is there a program that will be able to repair this file?

    TIA, Harry

  2. do you have nero? try to burn it as a vcd. What error does nero give you? when it loads up?

  3. Thanks for the advice but I don't use Nero. I did solve the problem by converting the mpeg to the same format as it was already with EOvideo. End result was an mpeg of the same variety but with no errors reported when loading it into VCDEasy.
