    Hello,

Maybe you all can help me out.

As of now I own a Lexmark X73 and I go through a lot of printer cartridges and they seem to be mighty expensive every where I look for it. I done refills on it before and the quality is awful... I get lines on my printer paper about every 2mm. So I feel refill on the X73 is no exception .

But I was looking to maybe getting a Cannon i550 printer to replace my X73 due to cost of ink on the X73.

It seems that the i550 ink cost is very cheap.

Now by your experience (all) would you think it is best for me to get a i550 to do all my color printing over the X73 due to the cost of ink for it.

I print a lot of dvd cover art .

I have no idea of specs and all, but I do print and I print a lot of color (using both photo and regular printer paper). So do you think it might be a no brainier to go with a i550 to replace my X73?

I would still keep my X73,, but just for the scanner and that is it .

Thanks 4 helping me out if anyone can add some thoughts or feedback.

    Printer cartridge costs:

Cannon i550 (get 1-black, and colors) ALL of this for about $13.00 shipped. Remanufactured ink.

    My Lexmark X73 (1-black and colors) black $19.00 / color $19.00 (remanufactured)

  2. I have two Canon i550's and they work great for DVD inserts! Ink is very cheap, you can get complete sets of cartridges at computer shows for $11. I ordered from one online site that was having a sale and got generic ink cartridges for $1 each including shipping...I brought 30 of them!
