    I hate PPPOE, which is most common DSL format.
    Look into cable for DHCP.

    PPPOE only logs on when you need access. Can cause problems on FTP or other download/upload type access.

    I choose the DHCP "always-hot" connection.

    how much was it in yoru area?
    i found that if you have a tv subscription the internet is just a small tack on (an extra 35/month) in addition to my regular cable bill.

    it could be higher/lower based on the speeds
    but I got 2MB down and a lowsy 256k/sec up with Comcast (USA)

    Well w/ cable, its extra 40 bucks a month after the first six months or something but other services is like 30-40 range.
