    Hi
I use a Pinnacle PCTV Plus (Indian version) to capture my videos. When trying to capture at resolutions higher than 352x288 through other apps like VirtualDub, Ulead Videostudio 7,etc they give errors saying that the resolution is not supported by the card. But in its box as well as in the website it was written that it could capture DVD quality video(720x480 i think). If i capture trough Pinnacle PCTV Vision, the software bundled with PCTV, it is able to capture DVD quality(it says so).But there is no noticable difference between the VCD videos and the DVD videos. Why is this so?Is this a hoax by Pinnacle Softwares?

Have you looked at owner comments here? https://www.videohelp.com/capturecards.php?CaptureCard=Pinnacle+PCTV&Submit=Search&searc...&Search=Search

I don't see one that says "PLUS", but there are others listed as "PRO" and "DELUXE".
    There's no place like 127.0.0.1
The Rogue Pixel: Pixels are like elephants. Every once in a while one of them will go nuts.

  3. Make sure you get the latest Pinnacle drivers for the card. Virtual VCR works pretty well with it, using either the Picvideo MJPEG or the huffyuv codecs. You will need to experiment with Virtual VCR settings to find something that works for you.

  4. I think robrosen is on the right track about drivers. I use the one at btwincap.sourceforge.net I use it with both virtualvcr and virtualdub and cap a whatever res I want.
