What Media Should I Use For My DVD Burner

I'm just about to get the Sony dru-500A 4X +R/+RW -R/-RW drive, and i was wondering what media would be best for this... and wouldn't degrade any or give me coasters!... thanks in advance
if i even should get this drive..?

The Sony is a good drive. Most people that have one have good success with them. I'm not going to say that it is the best one, because it's the only one I have ever owned, and because everybody always says that their burner is the best burner.

As far as the media goes, There are a lot of choices. Read the media guide over to the left. Click where it says, "DVD Media". Also, check out lordsmurf's media guide and this sticky from defense:
