  1. I made a backup of my childrens DVD, but there were many trailers in the beginning.
Doing the backup, I removed all languages but english, and all subtitles but danish (We live in denmark).
After doing the backup, I removed the trailers, using the VobRator and IFOedit, supported by a guide.
The guide described an example, where the trailers was located in the xxx_TS.VOB, but mine were in the xxx_04.0.VOB and xxx_04.1.VOB
Removing the trailers from the xxx_04.0 and xxx_04.1 VOBs solved the problem, and I could watch the trailer-free film from the files on the computer.
After burning the DVD, I could watch the DVD on the computer too.
But at the "normal" DVD-player (Denver -something, may be "160") the DVD wouldn't work. It started out showing the menues, but I couldn't select anything. Pressing PLAY, the film started with text in finnish, I believe, and still none of the menues worked.

    What can the problem be?
All help and comments are appreciated!
    Thank you.

  2. I don't have a clue what went wrong however I would suggest you use DVDshrink to back up the DVD. DVDshrink is easy to use and you may remove whatever you want from the original.

  3. Thanks for your reply.

I did use the DVDShrink to make the backup, but it wouldn't allow me to remove anything but subtitles and extra sound (speech in other languages).

The "film" parts I could compress, but not remove?

Or is there a way on the DVDShrink to actually remove parts of the video?

  4. Using DVDshrink version 3.2 and above you open the DVD then select re-author, click and drag the files you want then select crop which will allow you to set the start and stop points of the file. If there are numerous parts of the same file you need to edit out simply select the same file and crop as many times as required.

  5. I used DVDShrink 2.3 (?), and trere is a "re-author" function.

But when I tried using it, the danish subtitles diappeared (and was not possible to select in the list).
