nero 6 burning prob

has any one found this prob,i am burning a svcd using nero 6,it go's all the way to the burn screen ask's for a cd then starts,after a few seconds it stops and say's [/drive is in use by another application] and won't go on anymore,i have looked to see if anything else is running and can't find anything,i'm at a loss now,its not only when doing the above by the way its anything,and this is the same even if i reboot and don't do anything apart from try to burn using nero

You're using xp, like me.
You need to disable IMAPI in Services.
Start>Run>services.msc
Find IMAPI. Stop it. Set it to disabled. Don't worry about it saying burning will be disabled. That's only for XP's built in burning program. Nero, clonecd, fireburner, etc will all be fine.

hi anjilslaire, thank you very much your tip was bang on,i don't know how you found this out,but your the man/woman,what i still don't know is why it started doing this , it was fine untill a little while ago ,anyway all's fine now,out of 150 viewings of my message you were the only one to answer,thanks again
