  1. DVD Player: Panasonic RV31 (and some Sony, my cousin's)
DVD Writer: Pioneer DVR-A05/105 [No firmware updates]
    Media: H2O (MXLRG01), Maxell (MXLRG01).

My first DVD-R was burned onto a Fujifilm DVD-R using Ulead VideoStudio 7, after editing a little movie I made from imported clips from my digicam, i pressed the "Create Disc" button, made the menus, burned the DVD-R and it worked in every DVD Player I tried. I bought H2O cds mostly for data backup, but i wanted to try to backup a DVD, copied the VIDEO_TS folder into the computer, then tried burning using Nero 6, selected DVD-Video, unchecked all the stuff it said (for full compatibility) and burned it.

Tested it in PC, works fine, menus and all, go to my DVD player - "Not Readable" but a little "DVD-Video" button on the player itself is on....so i try my cousin's dvd player (sony something, not sure) not work either. So i burn the same DVD using Copy2DVD, no luck, so I thought its the media, bought the Maxell (which have the same dye as my cheap H2Os, some luck) and also doesnt work.

I dont think its the media however, because I burned a 100mb MPG movie onto an H2O disc, using Ulead Video Studio 7, which renders the video and created AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders in the DVD and converts the MPG into dvd format, and it works flawlessly in my player.

I have no idea what to do, someone please help, any comments/suggestions would be really appreciated, perhaps I should try a different software? Like make an ISO image and burn using DVD Decrypter?

    Thanks.

Did you copy the DVD files with your computer, or did you rip them with a ripper?

  4. its the whole VIDEO_TS folder......i "got it" from "somewhere".

I asked other people, they say it works, same movie. I think its software or the way im burning, maybe i need to burn it as just DVD ISo....and create the AUDIO_TS folder, rather then burn as DVD-Video in Nero?

Read carefully. How did you get the DVD files on your computer? Did you do a straight copy, or did you rip them using DVD Shrink, DVD Decryptor, how?
