  1. I have a JVC XV-N50. It hasnt been moved since last use when all was well. There is a disk in it. None of the buttons work including the power button, it powers up when its plugged in, the display says 'hello'and 'reading' then disk spins to 11 on the display then back to 0 over and over. Thought it might be due to a static charge, I held the power button in as I unplugged it. No joy. Is it a doorstop now?

How about holding the EJECT button while powering it up?

Look for a hole somewhere on the unit(probably the bottom) for a manual eject?

  4. Maybe its the "open" button on the remote. Just call me Einstein.

But the disk still spins to 11 on the display then back to 0 over and over. Is it an anchor?
